Pop in and meet the team building Castle Square Gardens.
We'll be hosting community drop-in sessions throughout the scheme. Our next ones are being held at Y Storfa. They are informal sessions where you can just pop in to find out how the work is going, find out what's coming next, and we can answer any questions you have.

Schools & STEM
Inspiring the next generation.
Our team visits local schools with hands-on activities built around the project. We show children how a city square is designed, dug and built, and why green space matters for people and wildlife.
It's a chance to spark an interest in engineering and construction, right on their doorstep.

We held a Meet the Buyer event with Business Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium, opening up work to local firms. Packages include stone masonry, paving, soft landscaping, groundworks, carpentry and more.
Spending close to home keeps the benefit of the project in the community that will use the square.
Room for nature
Good for people, good for pollinators.
The finished square gives more than 40% green space, with biodiverse planting and living green roofs.
That's welcome news for the bees and pollinators the gardens will invite back into the heart of the city.

Meet the Castle Garden Bees
To help tell the story of the gardens to Swansea's children, we created a hive of characters who live inside the old castle wall. They star in our storybook and join us for school visits and community days.
Three hundred years old, with a tiny beeswax crown and one wish she repeats every morning: more green. Mêl is the dreamer behind the big green dream.
The youngest bee, with wings a little too big and about a thousand questions. He writes down every new thing she learns in her notebook.escribe the service and how customers or clients can benefit from it.
Fast, tiny and always first with the news. Picyn maps every new tree and flowerbed, and once got thoroughly soaked testing the water feature, for research.
He has guarded the hive since the Normans built the castle. Difa has strong opinions and shares every one of them, but she comes round in the end.
Always carrying a rolled-up blueprint. Cwtch loves a green roof, and may have left a note in beeswax near the engineer's desk.Describe the service and how customers or clients can benefit from it.
The oldest and wisest bee, who keeps the colony's memories in amber. She teaches that looking after a place is everyone's job.
